Latest Conversion by Hornig - BMW R1200RT LC
Online, June 17, 2014 (Newswire.com) - The legendary "BMW Motorcycle Days" take place in Garmisch-Partenkirchen as every year. The perfect place to gain fascinating impressions and to show the motorbike fans from all over the world the newest of the new. Therefore the company Motorcycle Accessories Hornig presents its latest conversion of the water-cooled BMW R1200RT 2014 for the first time in public.
Some motorcycle enthusiasts may already have noticed that the old navigation device can no longer be used in the new R1200RT despite ordered navigation preparation. So Hornig constructed a navigation mount with which all common devices such as Garmin or TomTom can be attached over the speedometer without any problems.
The accessory specialists focused their attention especially on touring quality and comfort. That's why they modified the seat of the BMW R1200RT LC first, resulting in a more comfortable sitting. Furthermore flat suitcase lids for better urban suitability were installed that reduce the width by 22 cm.
A Givi V47 top case with a capacity of 47 L was attached that matches exactly to the taillights, as well as the tank bag XS308 with 20 L volume by Givi. This bag is especially captivating through its practical ring attachment which can be removed quickly and easily.
Great value was placed on safety, too. So a Nautilus horn was used that ensures the necessary attention. Not only useful but also beautiful to the eye is the mounted radiator screen. The final touch gives various aluminium turning and milling parts such as bar-end weights, oil filler plugs with emblem and a rear wheel centre cover.
A real highlight is the HexaCone Remus exhaust as it harmonizes perfectly with the converted water-cooled BMW R1200RT and makes the hearts of all motorcycle riders beat faster. At the end a side stand enlargement was mounted to guarantee a safe standing.
