Larson Electronics Releases Temporary Power Distribution System, 30 kVA, 480V to 208/120V 3PH
KEMP, Texas, November 13, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of a temporary power distribution system that converts 480V AC current to three-phase 208V and 120V AC 60Hz. This unit offers operators the ability to safely tap into and distribute 480V AC power from generators and direct grid power. This unit is ideal for outdoor use with a fully potted transformer and NEMA 3R load center.
The MGL-30KVA-4X120.20A-1X208.50A temporary power distribution system operates with 480V AC three-phase 60Hz that is stepped down to three-phase 120V AC and 208V AC. This unit makes 120V AC available through four 5-20R 20-amp, 125V GFCI protected duplex receptacles and 208V AC available through one CS8369 50-amp, 250V receptacles. This unit carries a rating of 30 kVA and comes with 10 feet of 4/4 SOOW line-in cable.
Larson Electronics’ temporary power distribution system features a fused disconnect that provides primary line-in protection and supplies primary power to the transformer. Secondary current is wired to a 120/208V AC single-phase 100-amp load center with a main breaker for circuit protection. Three 20-amp 125V 1-pole breakers and one 50-amp, 250V, 2-pole breaker offers 120/208V line-out protection.
The transformer and load center/distribution assembly are mounted to a powder-coated steel dolly cart style frame with two run-flat tires. Suitable applications for this NEMA 3R-rated transformer include indoor and outdoor use, construction sites, plant maintenance and turnarounds, and more.
