KEMP, Texas, October 30, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of an explosion proof power distribution system for use in Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations. This power distribution system allows operators to power their three-phase 480V and 120V equipment and is mounted on a square aluminum tub dolly cart with wheels.
The EP-MGL-480.3P-15KVA-2X480.60-6X120.20 explosion proof power distribution system is rated for use in Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations. This unit gives operators the ability to power their 480V and 120V equipment from a single system. The primary side connects 480V line-in power via a customer provided cord to two 60-amp 480V FSQC5640 receptacles. The secondary side connects 120V equipment to six 20-amp 120V receptacles. The transformer is grounded to the frame with a grounding lug that is provided.
Larson Electronics’ explosion proof power distribution system uses a customer provided line-in cord to bring 480V three-phase power to the 125-amp rated 480V three-phase main panel that contains two 60-amp breakers protecting two 60-amp 480V FSQC5640 receptacles. The secondary panel feeds 41.6-amp rated 208Y/120V three-phase main lug panel that contains six 20-amp 120V breakers protecting six 20-amp 120V explosion proof receptacles. All receptacles on this unit are equipped with weatherproof covers. Suitable applications include plant maintenance and turnarounds, hazardous locations, and more.
