Larson Electronics Releases Light Plant LED Conversion Kit, (4) 240W LEDs, Retrofit (4) 1000W Metal Halide Light Towers
KEMP, Texas, September 10, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting sector, announced the release of a light plant LED conversion kit that offers operators an LED retrofit package for existing towers equipped with four 1,000-watt metal halide lamps. This unit features four 240-watt LED light heads producing a total of 129,600 lumens of light output on an 8.32-amp draw and offers an 80,000-hour service life.
The LLP-LTK-4X250W-LED light plant LED conversion kit features a 120-277V AC compatibility and provides operators with an LED alternative to 1,000-watt metal halide lamps. This retrofit light package draws on only 960 watts at 8.32 amps from a 120V electrical system. The kit features four LED light heads, each with 24 CREE high-output LEDs producing 1,350 lumens each and are arranged in rows and paired with high-purity optics producing a focused 24˚ spot beam.
Larson Electronics’ conversion kit also offers floodlight versions with a 10˚ spot beam, 38˚ narrow flood beam, a 60˚ flood beam, and a 90˚ wide flood beam. The LED light bars are IP67-rated waterproof and sealed against dust and dirt. This unit can withstand rapid temperature changes of -40˚C to 80˚C with housings made of die cast aluminum with high transmission PMMA optics with 98% light transmittance.
Each unit comes with a trunnion style mounting bracket allowing adjustment through 360˚ vertically. A 44” wide and 2” by 2” by 1/4” thick mounting plate is provided that attaches to the upper section of the existing masts. A 35-foot whip of 16/3 SOOW cord allows operators to hard-wire the setup into existing gensets and control systems. Suitable applications include use in commercial and industrial settings.
