Larson Electronics Releases Explosion-Proof, Two-Color LED Light, Green/Red Indicator, ATEX/IECEx
KEMP, Texas, August 18, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of an explosion-proof two-color LED light for use in wet locations and marine environments. This unit is ATEX/IECEx rated for use in flammable work sites and is designed for use in commercial and industrial settings. This green and red indicator light has a 50,000-hour operational life and is made of non-sparking aluminum.
The ATEX-EPL-TL-2X10W-C-GA.RX-MOD1 explosion-proof, two-color LED indicator light is rated ATEX/IECEx for use in flammable work sites. The light housings are made with a polyester powder coated copper-free aluminum casting that can withstand 1490 lb PSI hydrostatic pressure. This unit is available in 120-277V AC and 11V or 24V DC or VAC configurations for standard or low voltage operation. This LED light system is to be used in conjunction with weight switches, momentary push buttons or other equipment.
Larson Electronics’ explosion-proof two-color LED light features a green LED lamp on the left that illuminates an arrow signaling to move forward and a red LED on the right that illuminates an “X” with “Gas Discharge – DO NOT ENTER” text and “Evacuate Area Immediately,” signaling to stop. The green light is connected to a normally closed circuit and the red light is connected to a normally open circuit. Each LED is 10 watts and is protected by Pyrex globes and polycarbonate globe guards.
Line-in power supply for this unit is provided by 10 feet of 16 AWG SOOW cable with flying leads, and mounting is provided by a heavy gauge aluminum base with four pre-drilled holes, designed for bolting to walls and flat surfaces. This unit is suitable for fuel depots, manufacturing facilities, industrial refueling stations and more.
