Larson Electronics Releases Explosion-Proof Toxic Gas Sensor With Audible Horn, 110 dBA, CID1, IP67
KEMP, Texas, August 10, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of an explosion-proof toxic gas sensor with audible horn for use in flammable work environments. This gas sensor is equipped with an electrochemical toxic gas sensor with an audible horn capable of 110 dBA peak output. This unit is IP67 rated and is capable of supporting wall, ceiling, flat or surface mount configurations.
The EPL-TL-PA-AT-GSPB explosion-proof toxic gas sensor with an audible horn is rated for use in Class I, Division 1, Groups C and D; Class II, Division 1, Groups E and F; and Class III hazardous locations. This combustible gas warning system for flammable work sites features an electrochemical toxic gas transmitter/sensor and horn for audio notifications. This unit operates on 120/240V AC or 24V DC for both standard and low-voltage operations.
Larson Electronics’ explosion-proof toxic gas sensor has a NEMA 4X-rated explosion-proof junction box that protects the internal wiring and can be tapped to connect the unit to power sources. The explosion-proof horn provides up to eight different tones and is powerful enough to be heard over industrial operations offering a peak output of 110 dBA. The toxic gas sensor actively detects hydrocarbons for propane and butane in flammable work environments with +/- 10 percent accuracy.
The gas sensor has three programmable internal alarm relays for local alarms and an LCD display for direct configuration. An internal data logger provides storage and recall of gas measurements and operators can set a four-digit password for added security. This unit comes with a 3/4-inch NPT conduit access hub for completing connections and an aluminum base with pre-drilled holes for mounting on walls and flat surfaces. Suitable applications include hazardous locations, flammable work sites and more.
