Larson Electronics Releases Explosion-Proof, Portable Evaporative Cooling System, 30" OD, 8,723 CFM
KEMP, Texas, December 19, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of an explosion-proof Portacool portable evaporative cooling system for use in hazardous locations. This galvanized air cooler features a non-sparking fan and dry mist technology to cool Class I, Division 1 work sites. This unit features a 50-gallon tank and a water filter to cool large areas for up to 12 hours.
The EPF-AC-50-220V.50HZ-GLVD explosion proof galvanized air chiller is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Group D; and Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F and G hazardous locations. This air cooler measures 36” wide by 39” deep by 66” tall and cools an evaporation zone of 5 to 10 feet. This unit features a 30” fan and eight spray nozzles and will automatically shut off once the water reservoir is empty. The motor in this unit is 1/3 horsepower and runs at 1,800 RPM.
Larson Electronics’ explosion-proof, portable air chiller features an ambient temperature rating of 10˚C to 65˚C and produces 8,723 CFM. This unit comes with a 30” spark-proof, aluminum blade with the wires and motor enclosed. This unit operates on 220V AC 50Hz with an amp draw of 3.76A and comes with a 20-foot 16/3 SOOW cord terminated in an explosion-proof plug.
