Larson Electronics Releases Explosion Proof Portable Evaporative Cooler, 8,723 CFM, 30" OD, 50Gal
KEMP, Texas, November 7, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of an explosion proof portable evaporative cooling system rated for use in Class 1, Division 1 hazardous locations. This galvanized air cooler combines a non-sparking fan with dry mist technology to cool hazardous work locations. This unit comes equipped with a 50-gallon tank and a water filter to cool the work area for up to 12 hours.
The EPF-AC-50-GLVD explosion proof evaporative cooling system is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Group D; and Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F and G hazardous locations. This unit measures 36” wide by 39” deep by 66” tall and can reach an evaporation zone of five to 10 feet. This unit features a 30” non-sparking aluminum fan blade and eight spray nozzles and will automatically shut off once the water reservoir is empty.
Larson Electronics’ cooling system features an ambient temperature rating of 10 degrees C to 65 degrees C and offers 8,723 CFM. This unit’s fan runs at 1,140 RPMs and has a 0.25-horsepower fan motor. This unit is self-maintaining so that hoses are not necessary. This unit can reach an area of 3,500 square feet and features a galvanized steel frame.
This unit features 6” pneumatic wheels and connects with a 20-foot 16/3 SOOW cord terminated in an explosion proof plug. This portable cooling system operates on 120V or 220V AC with an amp draw of 6.62A on a 120V system. Suitable applications include hazardous commercial and industrial settings.
