Larson Electronics Releases Explosion Proof Extension Cord Plug, 20-Amp Rated, Hot Work Permit, 2ft Pigtail
KEMP, Texas, June 21, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of an explosion proof extension cord plug rated at 20 amps. Paired with Larson Electronics’ EPP-20A series plug, this unit is compatible with our EPO-20A explosion proof 20-amp outlet. This unit can only be used in T-style outlets and in order to retain explosion proof safety it must be mated with an explosion proof outlet.
The EPP-20A-2FT-1P explosion proof extension cord plug is designed to lock into compatible receptacles by twisting the plug body until a click is heard, which prevents the plug from accidentally being pulled out. This plug is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups B, C, and D; Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Group G; and Class III hazardous locations. This unit is made of non-sparking aluminum with brass pins for secure full-length pin contact and a 15-amp current rating.
Larson Electronics’ explosion proof extension cord plug is approved for hot work permit applications and allows operators to use their non-explosion proof equipment within an explosion proof environment. This plug can fit a non-explosion proof standard receptacle (NEMA 5-15R, 5-20R, or 6-20R) and is suitable for use in manufacturing, industrial settings, warehouses, lighting, compressors, wet areas, commercial settings, and more.
