Larson Electronics Releases Explosion-Proof Enclosure, ATEX/IECEx, CID1 and CIID1

This ATEX/IECEx-rated unit is made of copper-free aluminum and features a choice of 1/2-inch or 3/4-inch NPT hubs.
The EPJ-ATEX-4 explosion-proof enclosure is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups B, C, and D; Class I, Zones 1 and 2, Groups IIC, IIB, IIA; Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F, and G; and Class III hazardous locations. This unit features a 3.5-inch by 3-inch body opening and a cover O-ring that provides protection against contaminants. This explosion-proof unit features a NEMA 4X housing and operates within a temperature range of -40-degrees C to 163-degrees C.
Larson Electronics’ explosion-proof enclosure is compatible with surface of conduit mount configurations and is made of copper-free aluminum with an electrostatically-applied powder coating for added durability. The dimensions of this unit measure 6.5-inch by 4.31-inch by 2.94-inch and is suitable for use in chemical and petrochemical plants, paint spray booths, agricultural operations and more.
