Larson Electronics Releases Explosion Proof Battery Charger, CID1, 230V Input, 25A Max Charge
KEMP, TEXAS, May 19, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of an explosion proof battery charger designed for battery repair, charging, maintenance, and restoration. This charger is rated for use in Class I, Division 1 hazardous locations and carries a NEMA 4X rating. This charger accepts 230V AC input and provides 12V DC or 24V DC output.
The EXP-BCHR-230-3X0.75-25A-RCH-SW-ID explosion proof battery charger is rated for use in Class I, Division 1; and Class II, Division 1 hazardous locations. This unit is made of cast aluminum and offers maximum charging amps of 25 amps and maximum starting/boost amps of 200 amps. This charger is compatible with wet cell (flooded), gel cell, calcium, lithium, AGM, enhanced flooded, and maintenance-free batteries and is designed for batteries up to 230 aH (115 aH for 24V).
Larson Electronics’ explosion proof battery charger has a three-way switch designed to set the unit in either Off, Slow Charge or Starting Charge mode. A green indicator light alerts operators when the battery is charged on the slow charge setting. This unit has two 3/4" NPT hubs, one for bringing line-in power to the unit and one for line-out power to the batteries. Suitable applications include battery charging, battery maintenance and repair, and can be used in combustible work sites and flammable environments.
