Larson Electronics Releases Explosion-Proof, 60A Fused Disconnect Switch, CID2, 3-Pole
KEMP, Texas, November 1, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of an explosion-proof, 60-amp fused disconnect switch for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2 hazardous locations. This fused disconnect switch sits inside a cast-aluminum enclosure and provides overcurrent and short circuit protection of service entrances, feeder or branch circuits, and more. This unit features an EHD frame and has a 3-pole configuration.
The EPFDS-60A-3P explosion-proof fused disconnect switch is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups C and D; Class I, Zones 1 and 2, Groups IIB and IIA; Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F and G; and Class III hazardous locations. This unit is made of cast aluminum and features a rectangular, bolted-cover design with bolts made of stainless steel. The external on/off lever can be locked into ‘off’ position and there is room for up to three padlocks for added security.
Larson Electronics’ explosion-proof, fused disconnect switch features an internal circuit breaker handle mechanism that is a sliding plate type mounted to the cover and is trip-free of the external handle mechanism. This switch is compatible with surface mount applications and features two hubs on the top and two hubs on the bottom. This unit is rated at 600V AC or 300V DC (maximum). Suitable applications include chemical plants, storage areas, and more.
