Larson Electronics Releases 72-Watt Hazardous Area Emergency Fluorescent Light, Emergency Battery
KEMP, Texas, May 1, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting sector, announced the release of a 72-watt hazardous area emergency fluorescent light with stainless-steel pole mount. This emergency fixture is specifically designed to handle wet and corrosive marine environments and comes with a battery backup that provides three hours of emergency runtime.
The ATEX-HALP-EMG-48-2L-T8-2X36W-APM hazardous area fluorescent light fixture is designed for use in wet and saltwater marine environments where corrosion resistance is crucial for equipment operation and safety. This unit is ATEX and IECEx rated and is made from non-corrosive materials, including a polyester housing reinforced with glass fiber and a poured-in gasket for reliable sealing. This unit also features an unbreakable and impact-resistant polycarbonate lens.
Larson Electronics’ fluorescent light fixture’s lamp cover is secured to the housing via corrosion-resistant plastic latches. This light can run on a three-hour battery backup and is charged when power is restored. Standard configuration includes a single emergency ballast that runs a single lamp at 900 lumens for three hours. The battery backup features an on/off switch and the fixture is equipped with two stainless-steel bar clamps for securing the light to existing poles. Suitable applications include use in marine wet and damp locations, cleaning areas, water treatment plants and more.
