Larson Electronics Releases 4K UHD, Explosion-Proof Network IP Camera, 8.0MP, 20FPS, Built-in IR
KEMP, Texas, October 21, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of an explosion-proof, 4K UHD network IP camera for remote inspection in hazardous locations. This camera is dust and ignition-proof, weatherproof and tamper-resistant and provides operators with a live feed from inside tanks, vessels, reactors or other locations. This unit comes with built-in infrared and an explosion-proof flex coupler.
The EXPCMR-IP-POE-8MP-IR-102D-FLX.23-JB.3.SFC explosion-proof, 4K UHD network IP camera is rated for use in Class I, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups B, C and D; Class I, Zones 1 and 2, Groups IIB+H2 and IIA; Class II, Divisions 1 and 2, Groups E, F and G; and Class III, Divisions 1 and 2 hazardous locations. This camera features a built-in 1/2.5-inch progressive-scan CMOS image sensor that delivers up to 4K 8.0MP resolution at 20 fps. A wide-angle fixed lens provides a 102˚ field of view for covering large areas.
Larson Electronics’ explosion-proof network IP camera comes equipped with built-in infrared lights and utilizes 120dB true wide dynamic range and 3D digital noise reduction. This camera uses a true day/night IR-cut filter removal to create clear images in low light and automatically switches from full color to IR mode when light falls below a certain level. Camera link-up is done with a customer-provided RJ45 ethernet cable that is run back to a customer-provided DVR system.
A network video recorder (NVR) is required to record stream from the camera, whereas live-view can be achieved without an NVR system via remote access to the camera. Three streams are available and can be configured to different resolutions and frame rates separately. This unit can be mounted on ceilings, surfaces or around corners from conduit runs. This unit comes with one pack of 3/4-inch EYM seal off and chico/fiber compound mixture for sealing the camera side of the flex coupler. Suitable applications include vessel, tank and reactor monitoring, remote observation and more.
