Larson Electronics LLC Releases Third Generation Megatower for Oil Field Rentals
KEMP, Texas, August 19, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Larson Electronics, a business with expertise in industrial lighting systems and power distribution products, announced the availability of the third generation Megatower for rental on oil fields and refineries. The hydraulic Megatower is currently open for a one month, onsite demo at no charge. This offer is limited to TX and LA Coast locations only.
The RNT-WCDE-11-HLM65-16X500LTL-LED Trailer Mounted LED Megatower on 33’ Trailer features twenty, 500-watt LED lights mounted on an adjustable aluminum mast. The powerful LED lamps feature solid-state architecture, which allows the IP67-rated waterproof units to withstand rugged environments. During use, the lighting system provides 1,350,000 lumens of total output, at 67,500 lumens per lamp. All LED lights are mounted on a hydraulic, aluminum mast that extends from 33.5’ to 77’. When fully extended, the tower can withstand 35 mph winds. All light controls are located in a NEMA 3R rated control box at the base of the light tower, which also hosts hydraulics and battery charger components.
Designed for oil fields, this third generation Megatower is powered by an 11kW diesel generator with 110-gallon fuel cell capacity. The genset also comes with accessible outlets for powering single-phase 120/240V equipment and provides up to 43 hours of continuous operation. All system components are secured on a 33’ x 8’ trailer bed. This tandem axle trailer is equipped with electric brakes (rear axle), tubeless tires and wheels, a heavy-duty tongue jack and six retractable outriggers with six manual leveling jacks for stable deployment.
Applications for the third generation Megatower include the following: oil fields, refineries, frac pads, oil derrick lighting, oil field construction and industrial sites.
