Lanner Announces Advanced NIC Modules with Intel Fortville Network Controller
Taiwan, November 18, 2014 (Newswire.com) - Lanner today announced the release of two NIC modules, the NCS2-IXM407 and the NCS2-IQM201.
They are compatible with Lanner’s x86 network appliances, including the just released the FW-8894 and the FW-8896, and are intended for expanding these appliances’ network connectivity.
Both NIC modules leverage the Intel® Ethernet Controller XL710, benefitting from advanced technologies Server and Network Virtualization, intelligent offloads for Fiber Channel and iSCSI over Ethernet, IEEE 1588, Energy Efficient Ethernet and Intel Data Direct I/O technology.

While the NCS2-IXM407 is a 4-port 10GbE NIC module with SFP+ Fiber connector, the NCS2-IQM201 is a 2-port 40GbE NIC module with QSFP Fiber connector; both of these NIC modules offer generation 3 PCI-E x8 golden finger.
