Torticollis Warrior Laura Kutryb Crowned Mrs. Elite Sunshine State Woman of Achievement for National Pageant!
Merritt Island, Florida, October 14, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Laura A. Kutryb of Merritt Island, FL was recently crowned Mrs. Elite Sunshine State Woman of Achievement 2016. She will now compete at the U.S. National Woman of Achievement pageant which will be held November 3rd – 6th, 2016 on The Queen Mary historical ship in Long Beach, CA. Delegates from across the United States will compete in Interview (25%), Platform Presentation (25%), Creative Expression/Speech (20%), Fitness (15%) and Evening Gown (15%). Winners receive thousands of dollars worth of awards, scholarships, prizes and will be featured in national promotions.
Laura Kutryb is a Torticollis Warrior, her personal platform and passion is changing attitudes towards physical deformities and abnormalities one person at a time. Laura was born in Winchester, Massachusetts and raised in Miami since the age of five. She attended Florida International University and received a BS degree in Elementary Education and a MS degree in Varying Exceptionalities (Special Education). Laura was an award winning Special Education teacher for over 10 years in Miami, Orlando, and Titusville, Florida. At the age of 28, she met her soul mate, Dr Michael Kutryb, Ophthalmologist, on a blind date. They shared the same dreams of love and family. They married a year later on the day they met. Together now for almost 20 years they have 3 beautiful teenage daughters. Laura is now the media specialist for her husband's medical practice.
Over the past two years she has held the titles of Mrs. Cape Canaveral United States 2015, Mrs. Atlantic Coast Galaxy 2016, and now Mrs. Elite Sunshine State Woman of Achievement. As a pageant title holder and entrepreneur, she is involved in many charitable endeavors such as; the Brevard County Humane Society, Rotary Club of Cocoa, and the fund raising committee of The Florida's Children's Home Society. Laura is also proud to support and promote the Space Coast Symphony Students of Florida and is now featured on twenty-two (22) Florida billboards on I-95. The fundraiser is October 22, 2016.
