Koovs.com has introduced a new toll free system to allow its users to authorize eCommerce transactions via their mobile, in partnership with ZipDial.

Bangalore based leading eCommerce site, Koovs.com announced the successful launch of its innovative order verification service. Koovs in partnership with another Bangalore based startup, ZipDial Mobile Solutions, was testing an automated system for users to authorize Cash On Delivery Orders. After a rigorous testing during the pilot run of few weeks, Koovs.com is now opening the system for all its users to authorize transactions.

Koovs now sends an automated SMS to its users with their order number and delivery address asking them to ZipDial, or missed call, one of the two numbers in SMS in order to confirm or deny the order. ZipDial has regularly studied the data around this mechanism and after multiple iterations to the system is now making it available for other ecommerce companies as well.

Cash On Delivery orders are popular with e-commerce customers in India. Due to the non-obligation of pre-payment, Cash-On-Delivery orders create a major cost over head for the companies as a lot of orders get cancelled or denied at the time of delivery.

Speking on the progress, Manish Tiwari, CEO of Koovs, said, "We are growing at almost 50% month on month in terms of transactions. With the kind of scale we are achieving, it becomes inevitable for us to bring efficiency early on. With ZipDial's authorization system we are not only saving on additional hires but also giving a better experience to our users. We will be expanding this system for collecting feedback as well."
