KidSpace Interiors Offering Free Consultation on Home Activity Centers to Keep Kids Busy
Online, May 9, 2011 (Newswire.com) - KidSpace Interiors, specialists in design of children's spaces, is offering free 1-hour consultations for parents to help create or organize home activity centers. Available throughout June, the in-home reviews will provide solutions to the "I'm bored" comment kids make within days of school being out.
The consultation will consist of an interview with parents on preferred activities as well as review of space, furnishings and storage available. The "7 Simple Steps to Summer Survival" guide on how to organize or create the activity center will be completed during the consultation.
Jeanette Simpson, a licensed interior designer and mother of six, has 25+ years experience keeping kids busy during summer vacation. Concerned with recent stats showing 8-18 year olds spend 10 hours daily using various electronic media, Simpson says, "Kids need to use time productively, away from TV and video games. Having a place set aside for fun activities can be a great way to provide stimulation, solving the boredom issue."
Activity centers at home can also keep kids learning throughout the summer, without them realizing it, and help them be better prepared to return to school at summer's end. Reducing time driving to-and-fro, saving gas money, and enhancing family time are benefits parents and kids alike will enjoy.
For additional information on the free 1-hour consultation, contact Jeanette Simpson at 941-400-8476 or via email at jsimpson@kidspaceinteriors.com. Free consultations will be available through June 30, 2011. Trip charge will apply for distances greater than 20 miles one way from the Lakewood Ranch area.
