Kickstarter - The New Place for Talent to Showcase Their Skills Without the Help of Hollywood Agents and Mega-Studios
Days after Dark Park Studios launched their new film, Terror House, on Kickstarter, Host of "Impact Wresting", Al Snow, and "Witches of Oz" star, Barry Ratcliffe, took notice.
Online, September 25, 2012 (Newswire.com) - "Terror House", the newest feature film from Dark Park Studios, has attached Al Snow (Host of TNA's Impact Wrestling on Spike TV with Hulk Hogan) and Barry Ratcliffe (currently playing the Cowardly Lion in the feature film "The Witches of Oz" starring Christopher Lloyd and Sean Astin) to star alongside Director/Producer Dianna Renee. And it all happened because they launched their project on Kickstarter.
After spending the weekend promoting Terror House and talking to fans at the Comikaze Expo in Los Angeles, CA, Dianna Renee, Dark Park Studios Managing Partner, sent the Kickstarter campaign out on the web via email and Facebook. She was surprised and flattered to get a response back from Barry Ratcliffe expressing his and Al's interest in the film. After a phone call to the Witches of Oz actor, Barry Ratcliffe and Actor/Host Al Snow were attached to the film.
Director/Producer/Actress for Terror House, Dianna Renee, says, "Casting directors and studios don't take you seriously if you don't have a large budget. They're so old school, they just don't get it. We own most of our filming equipment and do almost all of our post-production and effects in house. We don't need to spend millions.
