Khaled Sultan Joins Board of World Parkinson's Program

Armand Gilks, the chair of World Parkinson's Program announced that Khaled Sultan, a native of London Ontario, and an Investment Adviser with one of Canada's largest investment dealers has joined the board of directors of the World Parkinson's Program. Khaled Sultan has a background in manufacturing, technology, oil & gas, mining and equity research. 

Prior to his current role, Khaled Sultan worked with one of Canada's top five investment banks covering the precious metals sector with a focus on gold equities. Prior to that, Khaled Sultan was in charge of the launch and overall management of a Toronto-based start-up firm dedicated to providing research and due diligence solutions to investors in the energy and materials sectors in North America. He has also held key leadership positions at both Exxon Mobil, Imperial Oil, and Celestica.

Khaled Sultan's qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering Science and a Bachelor of Computer Science, both from the University of Western Ontario, as well as a Masters of Business Administration from the Rotman School of Business at the University of Toronto. He is a Professional Engineer as well as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

In addition to his recent appointment to the board of the World Parkinson’s Program, Khaled Sultan sits on the boards of the Merrymount Children's Centre and the Muslim Association of Canada (MAC). Merrymount is a charity committed to providing around the clock support and crisis care for children and families. MAC is also a charity and provides social, educational, and religious services and programs designed to assist in the development of individuals, families and the community.

Khaled Sultan was involved with a number of local and national non-profit organizations and initiatives including CIBC’s Run for the Cure and Princess Margret’s Walk to End Breast Cancer, as well as Junior Achievement of Canada, Make A Wish Canada, and Meals on Wheels.

Khaled Sultan is married to Asma, and has three children, Noor, Jena, and Muhammad. Armand Gilks and other members of the World Parkinson’s Program are honored to introduce Khalid Sultan as it new Board member, who will be playing a leading role in making difference in lives of those affected with Parkinson’s disease around the globe.
