Melbourne -Today, the bilateral relationship between Australia and China is of critical importance for both countries, and the past 40 years has witnessed the construction of deep networks of relations across the spheres of trade, culture and politics. Indeed, for Australia, there is no more important country economically.

How has the bilateral relationship evolved over the past four decades? What are the current challenges facing both sides? And what is the future likely to hold for the relationship? These questions, and others, will form the basis of ACBW 2012 Luncheon between Chinese, Australian, and regional emerging leaders on 31 May 2012 at Hotel Windsor Melbourne.

The 40th Anniversary is a chance to reflect on the evolution of the relationship over the past 40 years. It is also an opportunity to build and strengthen that relationship. The Australian and Chinese Governments both share these objectives. The Hon. In this 40th anniversary year, ACBW 2012 Luncheon designed to connect business, governments and executives and to facilitate the communication and understanding of the business opportunities that exist on a bilateral basis between Australia and China. Discussion will be based around three panels consisting of experts drawn from government, academia, and industry.

ACBW 2012 is a two day event comprising of a Forum, China Day, Financial services summit, Luncheon, Networking Function and Luncheon. It provides a strategic platform for existing and potential investors to gain an understanding of the Chinese business landscape, cultures and regulations as well the opportunity to meet and hear from government in relation to the future of foreign relation policies.
