Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz to undertake spa refurbishment

The management of the Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz would like to inform its business partners and the general public that a major investment into its spa facilities will be undertaken in the beginning of 2010.

The award-winning Spa & Ayurveda centre of the Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz will get a complete "facelift", promising an entirely new experience of wellbeing and relaxation to its guests. The main investment goes into the new look and feel of the treatment rooms, indoor pool, relaxation areas and the Ayurveda centre, while the fitness room will also get refurbished, including new, state of the art equipment.

The Kempinski's Ayurveda centre, unique in the Mediterranean region, is going to be redesigned as an independent centre within the spa, where guests will be able to benefit from an inimitable experience of authentic Ayurveda with a Mediterranean touch.

Having recently secured exclusivity in the Maltese islands for the luxury spa brand Terrake, and complementing this range with further high quality brands such as Ligne St Barth and Thalgo, the forthcoming refurbishment of the spa will effectively reconfirm the Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz as a market leader in its segment and give fresh validation to its title of Malta's Leading Spa Resort.

In order to avoid inconveniences of any kind to guests, a five-week shutdown of hotel operations has been decided, with the 5th January 2010 being last departure date and reopening on 11th February 2010.

The hotel advises that all non-operational departments will still be reachable during the time of shutdown. The hotel management will keep business partners and the public frequently updated about the progress of the spa project.
