WHAT:
Karaoke All-Stars, a non-profit karaoke competition benefitting After-School All-Stars, will give individuals the opportunity to enter an online video contest for the chance to win the grand prize - an audition to sing the national anthem at a Dallas Stars game.
Open to the public, entrants can visit www.karaokeallstars.org to upload their video. After uploaded, anyone can vote on it with a donation to After-School All-Stars ($1 equals 1 vote). The three videos receiving the most money will win prizes that include tickets to the Feb. 27 Stars game, autographed jerseys, and VIP access to the after-party event held at the Jack Daniel's Club.
Rules of Entry:
- 18 years of age or older and have internet access
- Submissions must feature the entrant singing karaoke
- Can be a capella, or have pre-recorded or live music
- No longer than 3 minutes in length
- One entry per person
After-School All-Stars (ASAS) provides free, daily comprehensive after-school programs that educate, enlighten and inspire deserving youths from the North Texas community. It is one of the 14 chapters of ASAS, a non-profit organization that serves more than 92,000 young Americans, 90 percent of which are underrepresented minorities.
