Joyce Banda Attends Daughter Kambe Banda's Bridal Shower
Online, May 5, 2014 (Newswire.com) - President Dr Joyce Banda on Saturday emphasized the importance of having role models and mentors in children's upbringing.
Dr Joyce Banda was speaking when she attended her last born daughter Kambe Banda's bridal shower at BCA Hill in Blantyre.
She said she remained a proud mother to Kambe Banda who is now a qualified doctor and a compassionate young lady, traits the president said her daughter took after her.
"At the age of 10, Kambe Banda could save and ask if we could take the little she saved to donate to the elderly home and every time I asked her why she did that, she said she was just following my charity footsteps," President Joyce Banda said.
Also present at the shower was former government hostess Mama Cecilia Tamanda Kadzamira who tipped the bride-to-be on the power of respect to spouses in marriage.
Kambe Banda, the last born in a family of nine, is expected to marry David Zgambo on December 14 this year.
