Jonathan Montessori School Announces New Parking Lot & Outdoor Classrooms

Jonathan Montessori School signed a contract with Minnesota Roadways Co. to reconstruct their parking lot after receiving major funding from a memorial son of a father of their two students.

Jonathan Montessori School (JMS), an authentic Montessori learning environment for children ages 16-months through Kindergarten, happily signed a contract on Monday, February 15 with Minnesota Roadways Co. to reconstruct the estimated 25 year-old parking lot in August 2016.

The school has received major funding after Adi Gildor, the father of two JMS students, passed away in August 2015. His family has directed friends and relatives to donate to the school through a memorial fund to finance a new parking lot and outdoor classrooms for the children.

"It's contributions to JMS, like this one, that attest to the connection that families create with the school. We are grateful to receive such a great contribution."

Rahul Deep, Board President

“It’s contributions to JMS, like this one, that attest to the connection that families create with the school. We are grateful to receive such a great contribution,” said JMS Board President, Rahul Deep.

In May, Gildor’s father-in-law, Peter Larson of Cologne, Minn. will donate his labor to create concrete patios for the outdoor classrooms. All funds that exceed what is needed for the parking lot & the classrooms will go towards the development of the school’s new all-natural play area that was designed by the University of Minnesota.

“Having two small children in the school during this difficult time has made me realize that this is where I want Adi’s legacy to be,” widow, Rose Gildor explains. “We both valued our children’s education and emotional well-being, and JMS has provided above and beyond that.”

The school looks forward to utilizing the school’s new parking lot during the Ryder Cup in September.

Adi Gildor of Chaska, formerly of Boston, passed away suddenly on August 24, 2015. Find out more about contributing to the memorial fund at https://www.youcaring.com/jonathan-montessori-school-454450.
