Jon Runyan Talks Career, Future at Moorestown Breakfast Rotary Club
Moorestown, New Jersey, October 13, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Former U.S. Congressman and Philadelphia Eagle Jon Runyan spoke about a range of issues, including life after Congress and professional football and how he is writing the next chapter of his career, when he was the special guest at the Moorestown Rotary Breakfast Club on Wednesday.
He also said he will be moving to Moorestown.
After spending 14 years in professional football and two terms in Congress, Runyan said he is currently involved in several new business ventures, active on boards and is giving back to the community.
“Jon has truly moved from the field to the Board Room, and his business acumen is outstanding,” Moorestown Rotary Club President Scott Aschoff said. “He was the most engaging speaker we had this year and will be an asset to the local business community”.
Runyan’s new firm, 192 Business Development and Consulting, is focused on “building the region through smart business, and is custom tailored for each client’s needs,” Runyan said. He said his firm develops the right combination of business development, market expansion, cost reduction and partners alliance growth to help firms to the next level.
Runyan represented New Jersey’s Third Congressional District in Congress from 2011-2014. He was a professional football player from 1996-2009, including eight years as a Philadelphia Eagle.
He is now the Chairman of the Wish Upon A Hero Foundation, and serves on the Board of the Alzheimer’s Association and Advisory Board Chair of SNJ Business People, which develops strategic partnerships in the region.
Runyan also is featured on WIP’s Angelo Cataldi and The Morning Team, WIP Eagles Pregame, and Fox Sports Sunday show with Howard Eskin.
