Jobs For Ex Soldiers As Private Military Contractors

Recent conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan and the use of private military contractors within these countries by allied forces has created a huge increase in the number of ex servicemen becoming private military contractors.

Even two decades ago ex soldiers selling their military skills to foreign organisations and foreign governments was seen as a somewhat underground, even seedy affair. Times have now changed, starting with the second Iraq war and the war in Afghanistan, along with subsequent national rebuilds and attempts to instantiate new governments, allied governments have embraced and endorsed the use of 'Private Military Contractors' or, as considered previously 'mercenaries'.

The demand for private military contractors was most famously supplied during the second Iraq war by companies such as Blackwater and in the last decade many companies have come to the for, with ex soldiers commonly starting their private military contracting career via agencies such as Axis Defence Factors (find out more about these agencies by visiting Axis Defence Factors webiste at www.privatemilitarycontractor.co.uk). Private military contracting is now a multi-billion pound industry.

With restructuring work still being undertaken in earnest in Iraq and Afghanistan and now allied governments debating allowing private military contractors in Libya to assist rebel forces, it seems that for the forseeable future there is no difficulty in ex servicemen finding jobs in Iraq and jobs in Afghanistan as private military contractors.
