Job Search Strategist Help Job Seekers Keep New Year's Resolutions to Get New Jobs or Change Careers in 2016

A Marist College poll finds that, for Americans under age 45, getting a better job is the number one New year's resolution for 2016

If you've promised yourself to get a better job in 2016, then Matthew Smith -freelance job search strategist, resume writer, and online networker- pledges to help you do just that.

"It's not at all surprising that job-related resolutions are number one for 2016. Many students and career professionals want new jobs, because they want to be happier by doing work they love or at least work that better fits their skill set and interests. It's not just about making more money."

Smith spent all of 2015 helping professionals across the country get more interviews, network with professionals at their desired companies, and gain informational interviews with hiring managers in IT, law, education, finance, and executive administration. After testing several combinations of job hunting strategies beyond rewriting resumes and uploading them to company websites and job boards, Smith pledges to help even more clients in 2016.

"Tactics like formatting resumes to appease resume-screening software don't work for most applicants," Smith says. "More often, they leave even qualified candidates feeling frustrated and hopeless that the jobs they want are actually available. Rather than innovate new job search methods, like networking directly with hiring managers, they settle for their current jobs for another year. It doesn't have to be this way."

Starting January 1st, new clients can sign up to work with Smith, one-on-one. Job search services include online networking, and using targeted resumes and cover letters to reach hiring managers at a client's desired companies, even if there's no advertised opening for the desired position. Space is limited, as Smith expects to work with no more than 12 clients at a time.

The current price for the full package of services is $350. Interested job-seekers can visit http://mtthwpytnsmth.com/my-process for details.
