Jeane Andrèe's Bones: une histoire d'amour française
Photographs by Erik Fischer
Curated by Alexx Shaw
DAC Gallery
Los Angeles
Images of ruins, fire lit clouds, abandoned boats, and sun-kissed streets are illuminated by High Dynamic Range (HDR) photography in the overlooked corners of France. Fischer captures reflections of a culture lost and the current life pathway in large photographs with representations of beauty and taste in every grain. The addition of smaller works enables the viewer to separate from the interjection of experience and become observers and voyeurs, as if looking through the camera lens.
With titles both in French and English, let Jeane Andrèe's Bones: une histoire d'amour française sweep you up in beauty and form; taste and aesthetics. For an occurrence without theory and context, ideologies and philosophy, Fischer's work will impress with basic structures of magnificence.
Batch from Scratch will be providing French pastries, and there will be a special performance by Jessica Fichot. Ten limited edition catalogues signed by the artist, which include multiple essays and prints of every image in the exhibition will be for sale.
Curated by Alexx Shaw. DAC Gallery hosts Jeane Andrèe's Bones: une histoire d'amour française, a one night exhibition of photographer Erik Fischer's work.
