Kallis announced his retirement in test cricket during the series against India at South Africa. It has shocked the South Africans as Kallis is one of the best all-rounders and is still capable of showing a match winning stand for his team.

His first match was against England at Durban in December 1995 and he could only score solitary run in his only innings in the game. But Kallis ended his Test career with a century in his final innings against India at the same Durban in December 2013.
