Is Free-2-Win the new Free-2-Play?

Big Time, the first app where users play free games for the chance to win real cash, has just launched in US, UK, Ireland, New Zealand and Australia.

WINR Games Inc. (winrgames.com) announced last week that they have now opened up their Big Time mobile application, to users in the US, UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.

Big Time is the first app where playing free games can result in a $1000 weekly cash prize, Free-2-Win.  Players choose from 5 different mini games and then collect star tickets throughout gameplay. Sundays at 8pm ET a single ticket is drawn at random and the “WINR” is eligible for a cash prize.  The prize is funded through the advertising revenue brought in by the app.

"We are thrilled to have our product available internationally, while we are primarily serving English speaking markets right now, we hope to be available to all countries by Q2 2015".

Jeremy Zuckerman, Founder

“We are thrilled to have our product available internationally” said WINR Games, 26 year old, founder Jeremy Zuckerman.  “While we are primarily serving English speaking markets right now, we hope to be available to all countries by Q2 2015”. Zuckerman is a first time entrepreneur and left his job as a management consultant to pursue his dream of building a mobile game development company.

Surprisingly, unlike other successful apps, Big Time does not offer in-app purchases.  It truly is 100% free to participate in the weekly contests.  This seems to be the first time where mobile gamers are getting rewarded for doing what they do best, playing games.
