Irvine Spectrum Newbie, Scent Avenue, Making Its Philanthropic Mark

Local candle shop sponsoring a virtual food drive benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County.

Brand new to the Irvine Spectrum, Scent Avenue is already making a name for itself by sponsoring the fundraiser, Help Us End Hunger in Orange County, a virtual food drive starting December 21st and running through December 31st. With many families struggling with the decision to pay rent or buy food this holiday, Scent Avenue felt compelled to raise funds, but on a larger scale. Help Us End Hunger in Orange County, benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank, is an internet-based drive that allows people to participate regardless of location or access to food drop off locations.  Donors can simply logon to the internet, enter a virtual grocery store, select items to donate and conveniently check-out without leaving home. Scent Avenue will also be accepting cash donations at their retail store with all proceeds benefiting Second Harvest Food Bank.

“Express your love by giving to those in need this holiday season”, says Andrew Yoo, CEO of Scent Corporation, Scent Avenue's parent company. He added that the holidays can be cold, physically and emotionally, and a little assistance can go a long way.

Scent Avenue opted to sponsor the Help Us End Hunger in Orange County virtual food drive because of its ability to leverage technology to help the less fortunate. The technology itself, developed by Aidmatrix, helps boost reach and increase efficiency for companies sponsoring food drives, which amounts to even more families getting the assistance they so desperately need.  To learn more about the Help Us End Hunger in Orange County campaign, visit www.scent-avenue.com/blogs/scentavenueblog.
