Brian stated that the goal of these is primarily to allow team members to get to know each other outside of the office. Many of the activities also involve some teamwork components as well.

Brian stated that there are many reasons for InZone Marketing’s focus on team building. It has a major effect on trust and thus leads to improved communication throughout the organization. When team members know each other well, they feel they can be more open with each other. Similarly, they know they can rely on each other to get the job done.
“Team building is also very motivating,” Brian continued. “When the whole team is used to working in sync and having fun, they come into work ready to achieve some amazing things together. They also feel more creative, particularly in groups. This is huge for us because that is the lifeblood of all of our campaigns.”
He also indicated that team building is known to help improve problem solving skills for team members. Even when working primarily alone, teammates know they can go to their peers for support and ideas.
