Alternative Fuse is a Social Networking site enabling users to create/join groups or events that pertain to that individual's interests. These Events or Groups can be a hobby, a family, a band, a club, a political cause, a business, an advertisement, or anything that the imagination can conceive. Alternative Fuse is a great place to broadcast that message, or simply keep it private, the choice is yours!
The network allows users to create an extensive profile which includes features such as: an "about" section which allows for a detailed description about that particular person; the profile page also has features which enable the user to submit videos, pictures, and music of their choosing; a common "wall" feature which is similar to that of other social networking sites where a user can post a comment on that particular persons profile page; there is also a "Profile Designer" tab which allows a user to customize their profile background; the "Status update" section listed under the profile picture allows the user to update their current status; the "Latest Activity" section will display all the social activity of that user; and under the Latest Activity category is the "Blog Posts" category which will display all the users blog posts including those posted to the "Article" A.K.A. "Magazine" section of Alternative Fuse; at the top of each member's profile he/she has the option to edit and modify nearly all social aspects of their profile including, privacy settings, music playlists, location, etc; finally, the profile will display the users affiliated groups and events.
The Forum category is broken down into two parts; the first being the actual category which has a tab linking to it on every page, this part is generated more for the generic user, with features such as Support or FAQ, or discussion topics created by a member; the second part is more specific and is posted into a Group's main page which will be a specific forum for that particular group.
The
Alternative Fuse Channel broadcasts to a diverse range of eight categories, such as; sports, politics, business, comedy, entertainment, news, lifestyle, and science. The content is updated on a daily basis. If you are interested in getting your show on the network please contact the network administrator using the "Feedback" link at the bottom of the page. This feature can be viewed under the tab "Programs" or at http://www.alternativefuse.com/videos.
The Article section otherwise known as the Magazine category is a public blog where users can submit their writing or media under any category including; Health & Fitness, Business & Finance, Sports, Politics, etc... Other users may have the opportunity to engage by means of commenting on the authors work if the author so chooses to allow for that option.
The News section is an RSS feed which gathers and sorts news from around the world and places it into various categories. Be sure to keep informed!
At the bottom of the screen (when a user is logged in) is a toolbar which allows for instant communication between members. A user can create/join a chat room using the tab on the second to left. They can view friends online and converse with them; as well as change their status to 'busy' if they wish to not be noticed or communicate at that time.
