Richard Cutting-Miller, former EVP for the World Travel & Tourism Council (Brussels, London and New York) and Resonance Consultancy (Vancouver and New York) has joined London-based travel technology startup Road.Travel (https://Road.Travel) to lead their business development efforts in the USA, Canada, Mexico and Caribbean.

The Road.Travel platform delivers interactive itineraries for automobile road trips, staycations, city breaks and more via an online marketplace of curated routes, driven by a powerful and versatile routes designer application, an industry-unique budget optimizer, and support for destination-curated content.

Road.Travel integrates online and mobile itineraries with existing and future auto navigation systems, with autonomous transport in mind.

Road.Travel takes the traditional road trip experience one giant step further, by connecting tourism destinations to the in-car experience through storytelling, powered by audio and voice AI and a global network of content contributors.

Road.Travel technology is also building a bridge between digital automotive platforms, tourism destinations and travellers - opening new channels of communication for destination marketers and the auto driver/passenger experience.

Nikita Dedik, CEO of Road.Travel, said, "We are thrilled to have Richard on our growing international team. His 30-years experience helping destinations (countries, states/provinces, cities and communities) around the world develop their Travel & Tourism industry, tourism products and experiences fits well with our strategic objective of becoming the number one brand of curated trips, and helping destinations large and small create new Travel & Tourism products and experiences."

Road.Travel Chief Commercial Officer, Ilya Bogachev, added, "North America is a key market for rolling out our platform and delivering our services to DMOs, Consumer Brands and Travel Partners. We're the first to create and deliver a new in-car experience that is pushing the envelope for auto travel. Over the next few months, we'll be working with a number of North American clients to deliver our portfolio of products including: Routes Marketplace, Route Designer, In-Car Experience, Places Guide, Website Builder and API & Widgets."

Richard Cutting-Miller commented, "Although road trips have long been a staple of North America travel, the surge of road trips brought about by the pandemic has highlighted the need for a better connection between destinations and their road trip visitors. Road.Travel takes the existing road trip experience to the next level, delivering newly curated tourism products and experiences using existing assets, and providing destinations with a new visitor management tool that can direct traffic to under-utilized or under-appreciated activities." Richard continued, "In the world of tourism strategy, Road.Travel is a game-changer for destination development."
