New Online Film Contest: "Preview Your Dreams"
The International Movie Trailer Festival (IMTF) has partnered with Openfilm. Openfilm is a distribution partner of IMTF, content from the festival will be shared on our 3rd party distribution networks, like TiVo, on co-branded channels. I.e. Openfilm and IMTF channel to promote a 21st century film trailer competition: "Preview Your Dreams."

Professional and amateur moviemakers are invited to submit trailers for movies they've shot or trailers for movies they dream of making.

In addition to the grand prize of $5,000 and a meeting with a Hollywood insider, like, James Caan who is the chairman of Openfilm or Oscar winner Burt Saltzman. There's an award for the best student trailer, a prize for the most memorable soundtrack, and monthly "surprise prizes" in a variety of categories.

Viewers from around the world will vote for the People's Choice Award, while a jury of movie experts will choose the top prizes. Judges include producer Scott Rosenfelt (MYSTIC PIZZA), Oscar-winning director Bert Salzman, Lucy Webb (Women in Film LA & Sundance Film Festival), and Brenda Nieborsky (Openfilm).

A Best of the Festival reel-titled "Preview Your Dreams"-will be shown online and in several film festivals.

Top winners in the trailer competition will be invited to enter Openfilm's next "Get It Made" competition, which offers $250,000 in prizes.

All of the trailers entered in Preview Your Dreams will be exhibited at www.internationalmovietrailerfestival.com, a site that also features video tips and practical forums. The trailers will also be shown at www.Openfilm.com, which attracts a vast audience devoted to independent movie making.

An additional benefit of this innovative online competition is that every entry is available for viewing 24/7, increasing the possibility that moviemakers may connect with financiers and distributors.
