International Film Festival Selects American Poet's Spoken Word Video

Online, May 6, 2010 (Newswire.com) - The First Herning International Short Film Festival has selected Cassandra Tribe's video of her poem, Requiem for a God, for inclusion in their evening programme, Hate/666 (Environmental).

The festival programme is divided into 4 sections: Love/6, Hate/666, Love/6 (Environmental) and Hate/666 (Environmental) as part of the AARHUS Film Festival and selected by the AARHUS Film Festival team. Films were selected based upon their ability to stimulate thought, debate and new ways of seeing reality.

Requiem for a God was written, produced, performed, filmed and edited by Cassandra Tribe in 2009. It was filmed in Albuquerque, New Mexico USA. The Requiem focuses on the loss of illusion in faith and love.

Cassandra Tribe has been named as one of the Top 100 Performance Poets of the Century by Answer.com. Her 2009 CD, Angel, received the 2009 GrIndie for Best Independent Spoken Word Album from RadioIndy/iTunes and among her other achievements was receiving the 2008 Musta Musta Golden Pen Award for her poem "Monster."
