INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE US/HOUSTON - GET IN THE RING FINALIST MOVES ONTO GLOBAL FINALS IN COLUMBIA
Houston, TX, February 23, 2016 (Newswire.com) - The INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE (ICC) has partnered with the Get in the Ring Foundation to host the first United States Finals in Houston, Texas.
Squirl Inc. who took home the National Title of Get in the Ring: United States on January 27, 2016, has just moved on from the Regional Finals that took place in Mexico City on February 4, 2016 to the Global Finals in Medellin, Columbia on March 15, 2016. He came up with the innovative idea of an app that discovers books on a location basis.
Squirl Inc. moved onto the Regional Finals that took place in Mexico City where he represented the United States. He is now 1 of 30 companies moving onto the Global finals in Medellin, Columbia where he will compete against start-ups from Southern Europe, Middle East, Eastern Asia, Northern Africa, Central/Southern Africa, Northern America and Southern America. On March 14, 2016 he will have a day packed of trainings and selection rounds where only 6 of the start-ups will be chosen to compete on March 15, 2016 and be given the title of global winner. If he secures a spot in the top 6 he will have the opportunity to pitch in front of top investors and fans, and possibly become the worldwide winner.

GITR is an initiative of the Erasmus Centre for Entrepreneurship, and offers international start-ups the opportunity to raise capital. The ECE, founded in 2009, puts promising entrepreneurs in contact with investors, clients, potential partners and obviously their fans. Where it used to be a local event, Get in the Ring is now a global brand and the largest competition when it comes to investments.
