TERRE HAUTE, Ind., April 5, 2019 (Newswire.com) - InfraWare, Inc., recognized by Inc. Magazine as one of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in America, is pleased to announce that it was awarded US Patent No. 10,224,036 on March 5, 2019, by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), the fourth in as many years. The patent name is Automated Identification of Verbal Records Using Boosted Classifiers to Improve a Textual Transcript.
The patent is for the use of various streams of speech recognition, acoustic characteristics, and the basic properties of a dictation in order to automatically determine the type of document from the recorded audio paired with speech recognition output (part of InfraWare’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) service known as First DraftSM) to further enhance language structure and content.
Maintaining its conscientious focus on reducing the time and cost of preparing narrative documentation that was historically produced by transcriptionists, InfraWare’s primary use of this technology has grown from healthcare records into other verticals such as legal and insurance documentation.
InfraWare is a tech-enabled services company that hosts an ecosystem comprised of a cloud-based SaaS platform and industry-specific service providers to help physicians, attorneys, and other highly-compensated professionals work closer to the top of their license (or capacity) by automating key aspects of their documentation processes.
Productivity benefits stem from the combination of workflow automation, recognition technologies, and the utilization of documentation specialists skilled in these niche services. The platform provides the convenience of mobile applications as well as deep interoperability with customer systems such as electronic health record (EHR) programs.
