Indian Condom Company Does Its Best to Improve Cricket Team's Morale

Indian Condom Company Sanjay&Sons will be releasing its new Utra-Mini condoms to the test cricket team, to boost the players' morale in the ongoing India V Australia test series.

While live cricket scores from the India V Australia match continue to show depressing results for the Indian team one corporate is refusing to give up on the boys in blue. "We don't have other sports in India. It doesn't matter so much to the average Aussie if they lose in cricket. They have the Australian Open, Lleyton Hewitt and kangaroos. India has only cricket. We saw the cricket live score showing over 600 runs for the Australian cricket team and just felt we had to do something about the boys' morale in the locker rooms," said head of Business Development of Sanjay&Sons Condom Company Pvt Ltd, a leading condom manufacturer in India.

The company will be sending ultra-mini condoms created specifically for morale boosting purposes to the Indian cricket team. "Every cricketer, nay, every man, deserves to say this at least once in his life- I'm terribly sorry, but as you can see what I have is just too big for this condom. I'm going to go buy a larger size. Terribly sorry, ladies," said Parth Awasthi, Director of Asia Pacific Operations for Sanjay and Sons. "We don't think running down the team that won the World Cup is going to help them win again. I'm a cricket fan first and a salesman second. Is this going to help our brand presence, probably, visibility certainly, but mainly this will stop making our cricket team feel persecuted by the fans back home. There was one time when India lost to West Indies terribly and fans tried to attack the players at the airport. My father recalls the players running away from the mob he was leading with great pleasure. But that's not the way of today. All said and done we're still with the team. And this our company's way of showing it."

Managing Director, Sanjay Awasthi elaborates, "This is not just a branding exercise. We want to ensure the players put up a good show on Republic Day. The philosophy of the company has always been to address a need that exists in the market. That's pretty much why I set up this company after my quintuplet boys were born. We want the younger players to stop relying on the seniors and also have a great story to tell their children. Of course Sanjay&Sons will still suppy the standard condom sizes into the Anzac market."

Sanjay&Sons was recently in the news for seeking consultancy services from Bangalore brand consultants Kowligi Kumar & Sharma and were allegedly in takeover talks with Durex after successful rebranding efforts. Stocks in Reckitt Benckiser Group, Durex's parent group fell 0.54% in trading on the LSE.
