The country's population is rising and so is the demand for proper education. This has resulted in a tremendous growth in India's school education industry over the last few years. The expected market size of K-12 sector in 2012 is US$ 34 billion. Scores of entrepreneurs and private equity groups are ready to entrust massive amount of capital in this sector, of which at least 20% will be towards the school resources as they include all the products and services that go into building a school.

With the Government initiating to set up more and more schools to keep up with the pace of escalating population, the industry is on the verge of exploding. Scores of start-ups and entrepreneurial companies are being set up in this area. Existing brands are looking to test market and launch new products with the schools. Policy makers are also putting the impetus on a composite dialogue with the private education entrepreneurs. World Schools Resources Expo 2013, with a focus on all major areas of concern, is aiming to holistically connect and benefit all the stakeholders.
