Inaugural Golf Classic & Dinner Raises $10,000 For Hospice of Charles County

Hospice of Charles County hosts successful inaugural golf outing and dinner to benefit Hospice House.

More than 70 golfers, sports figures, and golf professionals joined together to support Hospice of Charles County's inaugural Golf Classic and Dinner. The event was held at Lake Presidential Golf Club in Upper Marlboro in Maryland on Thursday, May 15, 2014.

Outing sponsored by Anchor Pharmacy & Medical Supplies and Dinner sponsored by Denison Landscaping & Nursery, the event included Miami Dolphin Randy Starks, a graduate of Westlake High School, and golf professional Josh Jackson, as well as two dozen veterans who participated as part of the "We Honor Veterans" initiative.

Participants had a chance to win an all-expenses paid trip for two to participate in the Hyundai Invitational in Las Vegas, a 2015 Hyundai Genesis for a hole-in-one on the 9th hole, and one lucky golfer won season tickets to the Bowie Baysox by sinking a shot during the putting contest, sponsored by BalanceLogic. Participants also participated in the Longest Drive contest sponsored by Cambridge Cancer & Fusion Center as well as the Closest to the Pin contest sponsored by My Doctor Urgent Care.
