In Honor of Veteran's Day, TTi Global is Encouraging Area Employers to Embrace Veteran Hiring Initiatives

TTi Global, a certified veteran-friendly company is calling on Detroit area employers to consider veteran candidates.

In an on-going effort to support the veteran community, TTi Global an international workforce development company is taking a leadership role in advancing the conversation regarding veteran hiring initiatives. As a certified veteran-friendly employer, TTi Global is ready to take the lead in helping companies train and recruit veteran candidates.

“Veterans add value to the companies that hire them,” states Lori Blaker, President/CEO of TTi Global. “We believe that we have developed a road map that other employers can follow in their efforts to recruit veterans. Veterans bring skills, an outstanding work ethic and a solid foundation of values to the workplace and become highly productive employees.”

"We are very proud to have earned this certification. As a workforce development company we understand the many benefits that veterans can bring to an organization and would like to encourage other companies to establish a meaningful veterans hiring initiative."

To become a certified veteran-friendly employer requires an organization’s commitment to recruiting, training and retaining top veteran talent.  Certification requires that companies educate their managers and supervisors on the value of hiring veterans and provide them with the tools they need to effectively manage veteran employees.  Awarded companies agree to continually recognize and support our country's veterans and their families in appreciation for their service and sacrifice to our county.

TTi Global was the title sponsor of the 2016 ESGR Executive Summit held this September at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial. The summit brought together leaders in business, public service and higher education to discuss effective ways to recruit and support veterans. The event attracted over 100 high-level individuals from the Detroit area to share ideas and best practices.

Earlier this year TTi Global earned its bronze-level certified veteran-friendly certification from the Michigan Veteran Affairs Agency, after signing the “ESGR Statement of Support” last year.

Barton Buechner, Vice Chair of Michigan’s ESGR (Employer’s Support for Guard and Reserve)commented, “TTi Global is providing a great model for employer engagement. Their experience as a workforce development company applies perfectly for the training and recruitment of veterans.  We are proud to have them as a member of our community.”
