IMT-Nagpur Scores A Top-10 Hit In Indian Management B-School Rankings
Institute of Management Technology, Nagpur received Super League standing in the latest B-School from west India survey by Indian Management magazine.
Online, November 20, 2011 (Newswire.com) - Institute of Management Technology, Nagpur received Super League standing in the latest B-School from west India survey by Indian Management magazine.
IMT-Nagpur was ranked sixth overall in west India B-Schools, but number one in infrastructure and number two in intellectual capital.
Indian Management rated schools based on six categories: intellectual capital, admissions and placements, infrastructure, industry interface, governance and scale of operations.
In order to establish ranking, a combination approach was used - self-audit by the institutes and an external rating by industry.
This latest survey shows a rapid rise in rating for the institute. The previous Indian Management Best B-Schools Survey saw IMT- Nagpur ranked among Super League-2 (top-20) and CSR-GHRDC 18th rank overall among top B-Schools of Super Excellence.
Earlier rankings under different B-school 2010-11 surveys, saw Business World place IMT-N, ninth in infrastructure and 18th in intellectual capital, while CSR-GHRDC, in October, 2010, rated it seventh among top B-Schools of Excellence.An OPEN C-fore Survey ranked it 11th among private B-Schools in India and in 2010, Business India said IMT was 18th among private B-Schools.
IMT-N's top rating in infrastructure is well-deserved. In addition to state-of-the art classrooms and dorms, its library, spread over a sprawling 15,000-square-foot modem complex, is aptly named the 'Learning Resource Centre'.
The LRC has over 15,000 volumes of nationally and internationally acclaimed titles necessary for modern management education and research. It also has journals and periodicals of national as well as international repute. In addition to the physical volumes, the LRC also facilitates online access to national as well as international knowledge database such as, EBSCO, CRISIL, CMIEs, Prowess, Capitaline, Proquest, HBR, USENIX, NCTI, JSTOR and Indiastat.
