IIDA Georgia - Art Auction to Benefit Atlanta BeltLine
Online, September 21, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Coming to Atlanta's Knoll Showroom on September 23rd, the Georgia Chapter of the International Interior Design Association will host Trash-to-Treasure (T2T), an auction and fundraiser to benefit the Atlanta BeltLine project.
IIDA Georgia annually hosts this art auction/ fundraiser with the intention of increasing awareness and raising money toward public art for the BeltLine project. Since the event's inception in 2005, IIDA Georgia has featured "environmental art" from regional and national artists such as Deanna Sirlin, Talle Johnson, Tadashi Torii, Mark Karelson, Judson Vereen and Lily Smernou. Additionally, artists from the Atlanta Interior Design and Architecture community have contributed their talent and time to T2T. In its five year history, IIDA Georgia raised nearly $16,000 to contribute toward art projects that will raise the profile and contribute to the success of the Atlanta BeltLine.
On Thursday, September 23rd, the Knoll Atlanta Showroom will open at 6pm and the event will last until 9:30pm. T2T will have entertainment, food, speakers offering information on the BeltLine, and incredible art by local and regional artists. All of the art will be available for purchase through either live or silent auction, and proceeds will go towards IIDA sponsored art for the BeltLine.
Trash-to-Treasure is a great annual event benefiting the Atlanta community that also boosts plenty of networking opportunities.
