IEG Remains #EventStrong in the Age of COVID-19

Interactive Entertainment Group (IEG) spreads hope throughout the event industry with a three-minute video featuring its leadership team.

To illustrate COVID-19’s devastating impact on the event industry, the video begins with news coverage paired with footage of empty theaters, streets, offices and parks.

With a strict ban on gatherings of more than 10 people, the industry has gone from 100 to zero over the past several months, and IEG is no exception.

By mid-March, the organization's phones had stopped ringing and bookings had ceased. This comes as a stark contrast to the 30-year-old organization’s peak performance in the months leading up to the outbreak. In fact, IEG was featured as an industry leader in Event Marketer’s March 2020 issue and was included in Inc. 5000’s Fastest Growing Companies in both 2019 and 2018.

Given this context, the video segways into the steps its employees are taking to adapt to the situation. Professionally, IEG employees are shown working from home. While it was not revealed in the film, the staff's main task at hand is ensuring the safety of event guests in the future. These measures involve sanitation stations, employee face masks, 6-foot barriers, UV product cleansing and more.

Not only are employees depicted working from home, but they are also shown washing their hands, spending more time with family and cheering on first responders.

“With everyone doing their part to social distance, I have no doubt that the event industry is going to come out of this stronger than ever,” said Patricia Dukofsky, IEG’s VP of New Business.

The video transitions into an uplifting series of clips from past events, showcasing some of IEG’s most popular attractions. Products include a Virtual Reality Slide, Giant Human Claw, Augmented Reality Wall, Vortex Tunnel and Infinite Photo Booth.

“It’s going to take time, but the whole world is going to have a reason to celebrate once this is all over,” Patricia added.

To finish out the video, IEG asked members of its leadership team to write a positive “we” statement on a piece of paper. One by one, team members read their statements aloud, virtually passing along the paper to the next co-worker’s screen. Statements include “We are resilient,” “We are strong” and “We love you and events.”

After the last team member read his statement, the frame pans out to the entire leadership team accompanied by a powerful message: “We are all in this together.”
