Slow PC issues

FOLLOW THE BELOW INSTRUCTIONS TO SPEED UP THE PC:
Increasing virtual memory:
For Windows XP:
1. Click on Start >> Click on Run >> Type "sysdm.cpl" without the quotes and hit enter
2. Click on "Advanced" tab on the System Properties window that prompts >> Click on Settings button under "Performance."
3. On the Visual Effects tab on "Performance Options window" select the option "Adjust for best performance" >> Then select the three options "use visual styles on windows and buttons", Use drop shadows for icon lables on the desktop" and "Smooth edges of screen fonts".
4. Then go to "Advanced" tab on the same window >> Click on "Change" button under Virtual Memory >> Select the option "System Managed size".
5. Click on "Set" button >> Click on Ok on all the windows.
For Windows Vista/7 and 8:
1. Click on Start >> Type "sysdm.cpl" without the quotes and hit enter

Optimizing Startup Items:
For Windows XP:
1. Click on Start >> Click on Run >> Type "msconfig" without the quotes and hit enter.
2. Click on the "Startup" tab on the "System Configuration Utility" window that prompts >> Uncheck the items that you are not using.
3. Click on Apply and click on Ok
For Windows Vista/7 and 8:
1. Click on Start >>Type "msconfig" without the quotes in the Search bar and hit enter.
2. Click on the "Startup" tab on the "System Configuration Utility" window that prompts >> Uncheck the items that you are not using.
3. Click on Apply and click on Ok
Virus Scan:
----------------
1. Download the free trial version of Malwarebytes and run a virus scan with it, remove the virus, if any found. ( You can remove the virus with free trial version of malwarebytes)
Removing unwanted/unknown programs:
For Windows XP:
Click on Start >> Click on Run >> Type "appwiz.cpl" without the quotes and hit enter
Remove any programs that you do not know or you do not installed. (You can search in google with the program name to know whether the program is fake or good one)
For Windows Vista/7 and 8
Click on Start >> Type "appwiz.cpl" without the quotes in the Search bar and hit enter
Remove any programs that you do not know or you do not installed. (You can search in google with the program name to know whether the program is fake or good one)
Download and Run CCleaner:
CCleaner
Restart the PC after performing all the above steps.
