How Predators and Current Predator Management Are Impacting YOUR Hunting Opportunity!

Online, April 28, 2014 (Newswire.com) - The goal of the predator symposium is to provide science-based information to the general public and sportsmen on the impact improperly managed predator populations have on wildlife, hunter opportunity, and hunter success. Without sustainable game populations, hunter opportunity declines and with declines in hunters comes a decline in conservation funds for our state.

The headline sponsors of the symposium are Leupold and Benchmade Knives, both Oregon based manufacturers. Several other local and national organizations such as Oregon Hunters Association chapters(Tualatin Valley, Clatsop County, Columbia County, Hoodview), Southwest-Washington Safari Club International, S2 Outfitters, Spoon Creek Outfitters, National Congressional Foundation, and more have also donated to the event.

The Oregon Outdoor Council is bringing wildlife experts from around the west to share real hard science on the impact predators and predator management are having the hunting, fishing, and wildlife harvesting lifestyle! One of the most exciting parts of the symposium will be engaging with the wildlife experts during and after the presentations. Also up for discussion will be the issue of what must be done here in Oregon to prevent further collapse of ungulate herds.

The symposium is FREE. The Oregon Outdoor Council is providing lunch at no charge but respectfully request a $10 donation for lunch though it is not required. A silent and live auction will take place along with general raffles, including a predator package worth over $1700.
