Houston Managed Services Provider HighPoint Technology Group Acquires TechForceIT to Strengthen SMB Practice
Houston, TX, December 12, 2017 (Newswire.com) - Managed Services Provider, HighPoint Technology Group, announced its recent acquisition of TechForceIT, another local MSP who provides Information Technology and Managed IT Services to small businesses around Texas. TechForceIT clients include law firms, doctors’ offices and physician practices, small oilfield services companies and a range of retail clients. HighPoint CEO Steve Guistwite commented “TechForceIT was a natural acquisition target for us as their focus on small businesses helps to fill a gap that we had in our current client portfolio which was more aligned to support Mid-Market and Enterprise customers. The reality is that small businesses often are the ones most in need of managed services and there are not that many viable, budget-friendly options out there. TechForceIT’s use of automation and simplified support processes not only allows us to serve a new market segment, but now we can weave some of those practices into our core service processes for our larger clients as well.”
TechForceIT Founder and CEO, Angie Rodriguez also commented on the acquisition from the TechForceIT side stating that “this merger makes a lot of sense for TechForceIT customers as HighPoint’s expanded capabilities will offer our fastest growing clients long-term stability as they increase in size and complexity and HighPoint’s Volarè Cloud offering gives our clients an affordable set of infrastructure options that previously were not readily available to them.”
Prior to founding TechForceIT, Angie Rodriguez worked for two other IT providers in roles ranging from AR, AP and procurement, to operations management and in executive management capacities over the past fifteen years. As she moved up through the ranks, she realized that being honest, practical and straightforward with clients was something that tended to be lacking. Angie expands “that over the years I observed clients continuously expressing their appreciation for my honesty and transparency and I always felt that was kind of odd as I just assumed everyone operates that way. As I progressed in my career I realized that was not always the case and didn’t fully understand how much of an asset personal character really is in business. That was when I was inspired to start TechForceIT, so that small businesses could have a provider they could trust, that was easy to work with and could take complex problems and very simply solve them.”
Because of her practical and straightforward nature, Angie will be joining the HighPoint management team going forward as the head of Customer Experience. Guistwite added “Angie’s experience in delighting clients is something that may not show separately on the balance sheet, but we believe she is a tremendous asset to our go-forward strategy as HighPoint is passionately focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience across its client base. TechForceIT client satisfaction and loyalty ratings were a few of the non-financial metrics we reviewed prior to the acquisition as it is important to us that any company we acquire fits our customer-first culture.”
With the acquisition, HighPoint now has the ability to offer managed services to client ranging from small businesses up to the Enterprise. Add in the MSP’s expertise in Hybrid Cloud, Health IT, Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and TeleHealth support and it is cleared that this managed services provider is poised to disrupt the market in a multitude of ways.
